My actual morning routine

Journals every morning. Judges no one who doesn't, but here's what worked for me.

Water before coffee, every single time
Phone stays in another room until after breakfast
Ten minutes of journaling, no prompts, just whatever comes out
Make the bed even if nothing else gets done that day
Sunlight within the first 30 minutes if at all possible
One task decided the night before so mornings aren't a negotiation
Stretching instead of scrolling for the first five minutes
A short walk instead of checking email first thing
Include a note about not checking Slack before 9am
